Our Program

The Children’s Center is open 7:30 to 4:30 or 8:15 to 12:15 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday year round. We have two classrooms with two lead teachers in preschool and one lead teacher and one assistant in the toddler room. We also have six volunteers that help out in the classrooms at different times during the week. We are licensed through The Department of Early Education and Care and our staff meets and exceeds all requirements.

Our primary focus is on the child’s social and emotional well being, as well as intellectual, language and physical development. We encourage children to be independent and self-sufficient which helps develop a positive self-image. We encourage the child’s ability to communicate, to work with others, to be aware of the rights of others and to accept responsibility. We also promote healthy bodies by providing outside time on our playground.

We want our families to be involved as much as possible in our program. We have an open door policy and welcome family members to visit and volunteer when they are able. We require a commitment of two hours a month to help with school efforts, including fundraising, helping with school maintenance and volunteering in the classrooms. We also require that families donate snacks, paper products and or cleaning supplies once a month.
